Thanks for 2019 — and Welcome 2020!

July 26, 2019 in Thank You by Kevin

It’s kinda crazy to think that a week ago, we were kicking off TrotCon 2019 in style with a bunch of special guests, plus all of our wonderful, wonderful attendees!

Wanna hear something funny, though? The whole time, while we were enjoying throwing our eighth My Little Pony convention, we couldn’t help but look toward the future.

Since before TrotCon 2019 even began last Friday, we’ve known precisely what we were gonna do for 2020, assuming the whole place didn’t burn down and left us unable to have a ninth convention. Our con chair in particular has been practically bursting at the seams waiting to tell you what’s in store.

But first things first: thanks to everyone who attended TrotCon 2019! 700 of you raised over $5,000 in charity donations, the latter a record for us here at TrotCon. Y’all find new ways to surprise us each year!

We’d also like to thank Katrina Salisbury, Elley Ray, Bill Newton, Heather Breckel and all our community guests, musicians, vendors and panelists for helping make TrotCon 2019 something people actually wanted to attend!

And finally, to our staff: hey, cool, your did your job. Congrats. Time to get on 2020.

If you were at our closing ceremonies, you’re already aware that for next year, we’ll be doing none other than a circus/carnival theme! We think the theme well suits all of the different personalities and strengths of our staff in terms of putting on a good show, and we hope you’re just as excited as we are for it.

TrotCon 2020 will be held July 17-19 at the usual spot, the Crowne Plaza Columbus North in Columbus, Ohio. Though not every single facet of 2020 is operational just yet (such as applications for staff, panelists and the like), we are happy to say that pre-registration is up and at the same prices as 2019. That means you can snag a $35 weekend badge RIGHT NOW — but only until Oct. 1! After that point, the price will go up $10.

Each sponsor badge tier is also available, and we’ve already had a few folks partake. Remember, some of these tiers — mainly draconequus — are fairly limited numbers-wise, so don’t delay if you’re thinking of bumping up to a sponsor tier.

That about covers it for now! If you’re going to be at BronyCon next weekend, you should stop by our table, where we’ll be slinging TrotCon merch, showing off our prize wheel and even dispensing a few buttons with a certain TrotCon catchphrase on it. You probably know the one.

Otherwise, keep an eye on this space! We’ve got a lot to share with you soon.
