The Ohio Bronies Forum seems to be down at the moment, so I'm posting information about our large annual brony-friendly party here in the meantime. Everypony is welcome to attend.

------------------------------

Hay everypony, our biggest party of the year is THREE WEEKS from today! It will be a wild party filled with games (board, card, video, and social), food, drink, and friendship.

You don't need to dress like a pirate, but this is certainly a good excuse!

Thing: Jewel & Trixie's Pirate Plunder Party
Times: Saturday, January 6th (4 pm 'til very late)
Place: The Wild Oats Den (Trick/Jewel's pad)
Drive: 1350 Wild Oats Drive, 43204
Phone: 614-279-8686
Texts: 513-290-6836
Stuff: Fun! Games, food, socializing, and our pirate plunder event!

Food, drink, and games are free of charge, and you do not need to bring anything but yourself and your friends. (If over 21, you may have alcohol as well, but please drink responsibly.) You do not need to RSVP to attend, but if you do RSVP it will help us manage the crowd size better. You may invite or bring anypony who is geek-friendly.

Schedule is as follows:

* 4 pm: Doors open. Games and refreshments begin. We'll probably run a game of Secret Hitler in the basement at some point.

* 7:30 pm: Pizza! (Other options available.)

* 9 pm: The Mane Event (see below)

* Midnight: The party keeps going, unless everypony is too old and tired to continue! Feel free to stick around and play games in the basement or even stay 'till tomorrow. If you need sleepover space, contact wolf.trickster@gmail.com before the date of party to reserve room.

The Mane Event: Our traditional white-elephant pirate plunder game starts at 9 pm. You do not need to bring any gifts to participate, because we always throw in a couple dozen gifts of our own. If you do want to bring something (the more the merrier!), we suggest bringing one to three small things, unwrapped. They don't need to be new (regifting and weirdness is encouraged), but please don't bring anything really expensive.

Hope to see you here! /)^3^(\ Then let the pillaging begin!

Title more or less says what I want to know, is there any plan/consideration for running the Nerf war next year?

General Discussion / Best Moments of Trotcon 2017
« Last post by dadofcraftyhooves on July 23, 2017, 05:22:38 PM »
Hello,

I've taken my son to Trotcon for 2yrs now. He always has a great time, and everyone is just the best. Everyone is respectful and helpful to him (it seems) because he is young. When we come to Trotcon we come as sponsors so we are there all three days for at least 20hrs total.

I think my son enjoyed the Battle for Bottlecap Canyon and the Jeopardy based pony game the best this year. One of the mods in the Nerf game shot me right between the eyes, and I was merely a spectator....I think I know who you are and I will see you next year muhahahaha.

For me the best part (seems a bit twisted but...) was the blue Halo/pony dude that tripped over the table in the Nerf war. He got one of his butt pads caught on the leg of the table and I laughed and laughed. Since he was not hurt I hope I'm not being too sadistic. I also really like the pony madlibs which I missed this year because my wife had hip replacement surgery that day and we needed to leave early on Friday to help take care of her.

There was a metal Trotcon etching that was made for the auction. I work for a technical school and we have a plasma cutter that our welding students use during their program. My son and I want to make a "under the Sea" themed piece for next year. We also have a pre-engineering class and the students work with 3D printers. I would like to (if I have time) work with the students to get some items together for the auction next year. My son really wants to do it, and this year alone he spent $11 for a marshmallow. He's got a great heart. I'm proud of him.

Anyhow, thanks to everyone who makes this happen. You are all fantastic people. It is truly a highpoint of my sons summer and mine.

Only two more days until TrotCon!! My friends and I will be bringing a bunch of board games, card games, dice games, and maybe some one-off table top RPGs to play this weekend. Hit me up if you are interested in playing! We are planning on getting there early on Friday and gaming most of the day before opening ceremonies. And then kinda playing it by ear the rest of the weekend and gaming in the free time we have. Once we get checked in to the hotel, I'll post what games we have and when we'll be playing (and where). See everyone this weekend!

General Discussion / 4DE ponies coming to Trotcon!
« Last post by planetplush on July 11, 2017, 10:45:12 AM »
Hi everyone! I'm a vendor at Trotcon again this year at table 22! Some of you may already know me from deviantArt as one of the artists who worked with 4DE to design their plushies.

I was able to get some of their leftover plush stock and will be bringing them with me! As far as I know this is the first time the 4DE plushies have been available at Trotcon, but I could be mistaken!

Anyway, I can't wait for the con! Even if you don't want a plushy please stop by my table to say hello!
