A Note About COVID-19

COVID-19, also known as coronavirus, was recently labeled a pandemic by the World Health Organization and has spurred the cancellation of multiple major events around the world due to outbreaks in countries including the United States.

While we have every intention of holding TrotCon 2020 as scheduled this July 17-19, 2020, in Columbus, Ohio, we realize that we may not ultimately have a choice in the matter.

We are monitoring news reports, consulting with local officials and the recommendations of local, state and federal governments regarding holding TrotCon this year. At this moment, TrotCon will go on as scheduled, but just as the situation around COVID-19 continues to develop, so too may our decision. Should we be unable to hold TrotCon 2020 in July as expected, we may move the convention to a later date in 2020 rather than cancel outright and look toward 2021.

In the meantime, we recommend that anyone reading this — prospective TrotCon attendee or otherwise — follow local regulations and sanitary guidelines in order to protect yourselves against any disease, coronavirus included. Remember to wash your hands and in general practice good cleanliness, whether you’re at TrotCon or otherwise. We also recommend, as with all TrotCons, that you don’t come to the convention sick!
