TrotCon 2026 Update & Cookout
Salutations TrotCon!
It has come time to share an update about the goings on of the convention. There is a big change we need to share with you. The online convention needs more time to be planned and will be moving to the weekend of December 12-13th! This will allow our team to create the best content we can for all of you and time to book guests you’d like to see! We already have our first guest of honor lined up, just need to finish a few contract related things before we announce them!
So instead TrotCon will be hosting a cookout the weekend the online convention was originally planned for. On Saturday July 25th, from 11am until 6pm we will be hosting a cookout at Kiser Lake State Park at the Lakeview Shelter (GPS Coordinates: https://maps.app.goo.gl/8R9bvtSrGyVkkPs1A )

This may seem sudden to you and a lot of the staff are with you. Darkly has been focusing her energy on taking care of our dear friend and one of TrotCon’s founding staff, Cap’n Berreh/John, as his brain cancer had returned for the 2nd time in late March/early April. Darkly has taken over driving for him, making sure he makes it to his chemo appointments, and helping him with whatever he needs. We have learned the cancer is responding to the treatment and he is stable currently.
Between his medical appointments, her own health issues, and her vending (Darkly’s main income is her art business), she has not had time to help get TrotCon together like normal, so we’re taking a few more months to plan and create an event that everyone can enjoy. We want TrotCon to thrive and bring joy to those who come to see us online or in person! We care about the community and we want to put on a grand show in 2027! Hopefully, these mini-events will tide you over until we can put together our noir theme that is sure to mystify you!
